2. Service Description

Ticket Dismissal Texas provides enrollment services for an online Texas defensive driving and driver safety course. The course is delivered by our partner, Drive Defensively Texas, under TDLR Provider License CP206, pursuant to Texas Education Code Chapter 1001. The course:

  • Is a 6-hour online driver safety course meeting all TDLR curriculum requirements
  • Is available in English and Spanish
  • Costs $25 — the minimum fee established by Texas Education Code Section 1001.352
  • Issues an official TDLR certificate of completion upon successful completion
  • Is accepted by all 254 Texas courts for traffic ticket dismissal and by Texas insurance companies for premium discounts

⚠️ Court Permission Required: Our course satisfies the TDLR educational requirement but does not automatically dismiss your ticket. You must obtain prior court permission before enrolling for ticket dismissal purposes. Enrolling without court permission does not guarantee your ticket will be dismissed.

3. Course Eligibility

To use our course for Texas traffic ticket dismissal, you must meet all of the following under Texas law:

  • Not have been speeding 25 mph or more over the posted limit
  • Violation not occurring in a construction zone with workers present

Eligibility requirements are set by Texas law. We are not responsible if your ticket dismissal request is denied by a court due to ineligibility. Always confirm eligibility with your specific court before enrolling.
